Stuck in Hawaii?
April 4, 2008 by Airline Blogger

With the shutdown of two airlines with service to Hawaii, Aloha and ATA, there are lot of passengers who are stuck at Hawaii (and in US Mainland to get back to Hawaii).
As you can imagine, due to sudden closure there is a squeeze in number of seats available (on other airlines) and the ticket prices have gone up.
There is an additional concern that the closure of two airlines might mar tourism. Though this might not be the case if other airlines add seats (or flight) capacity to cover the loss. Hawaiian Airlines has already announced the start of some services.
On the brighter side, if you do not have any pressing engagements, it is better to extend your vacation in Hawaii (or in better words - get stuck in Hawaii), then any place else :).
