On April 1st 2008, Raghu Menon started as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Air India, the only state owned national flag carrier of India.. He announced the airline’s finances and services as his highest priority. He also mentioned that the merger between Air India and Indian Airlines (started by the CMD before him) should be completed in 1 year (which sounds a little ambitious to me).
