Thursday April 17th 2008, a passenger (Orthodox Jewish Man) who left his seat to pray in the back of the plane (while the plane was boarding) was removed from the plane by Airport Security. The flight attendant has asked the passenger to return to his seat but as his two friends (traveling on the flight with him) pointed out, once the prayer is started he cannot stop till it is over. The flight was United Airlines‘ Flight 9 from JFK New York to San Francisco.
I do understand how the flight attendant would have felt, but what do you think about the threat from a a bearded guy with holy book, praying in the back of the plane? Are one’s religious beliefs, instructions and God more important than the instructions from a Flight attendant?
Though, if he was a Muslim cleric things would have been even worse.
I am feeling a little clairvoyant today, “I see a law suit against United”.

Well……..it would have been an interesting take-off if the prayer hadn’t finished. And, I know myself that it is too easy to get suspicious about ones fellow travellers. You might enjoy these:

I don’t know how i would behaive if i were a flight attendant. but each person has the freedom oа praying when there is a need of it. the matter is that at present we have seen so many accidents that we simply cannot trust people.
