I love airlines, the way they have changed the world around us. Airlines, air travel and airports have become an essential part of our lives. Right from the conference next week, to the client meeting this Wednesday, to planning the perfect getaway with my spouse to Italy, to the Thanksgiving dinner in California, to the family trip to Bhutan, to the ski trip(s) in to Colorado, etc., everything is just some hours away on my favorite airline(s). When I was a kid, I looked forward to every takeoff, but nowadays I am oblivious to it (mostly sound asleep). Even the turbulence has lost its scare, and now it feels like a bump on the boat sailing on the sea.
Everybody would agree that we end up sharing a love and hate relationship with the airlines.
Traveling as frequent as I do, the following have become essential for me -
- My carry on bag, that can fit on any airline’s overhead bag compartment.
- My 3 quart size zip lock bag with all my toiletries.
- Fully Charged Zune and iphone with movies and music respectively (just in case I get stuck or the flight has no or faulty entertainment system)
- Current Businessweek, Wall Street Journal, etc.
- Additional book or novel (for backup)
- My makeshift head pillow
- My change of clothes (even for a day trip)
The blog is something that came natural to me, as a time pass while waiting at the airport or a flight. I try to keep the content terse and light, so that anyone can enjoy it.
As usual, your feedback is most welcome.
Thanks

Does anyone know if there is a book about airliner concepts that never went into production? I tend to see a mention here and there about prototypes like the 747 trijet and MD-12, but have never found all of them in one single volume.

Hi Airliner,
I just wanted to leave a comment to say that I find your blog informative and relevant. I am not sure if you are aware, but I have added a link to your blog from mine: http://partnerofapilot.wordpress.com
please feel free to delete this comment. I do not expect you to leave a random link to my blog on yours.
Out of interest, in your about me section, you make it clear that you love airlines, and that you travel frequently. Do you actually work for an airline?
Hi,
Does anyone know how to get in contact with the owner of Airlinerblog? We’re interested in partnering with him. Thanks.
